MEPR is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom). This page states our age requirements and describes what we do when we learn a registered user is under the applicable minimum age.
1. Minimum age
- United States: 13.
- EEA, UK, and jurisdictions that require a higher age for digital-services consent: 16.
- Any jurisdiction with a higher local minimum: that local minimum applies.
- KYC-gated features (buying $MEPR, staking, launchpad, payouts): 18.
2. No knowing collection from children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Signup asks for date of birth and blocks under-age registration. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we delete it.
3. Parental requests
A parent or guardian who believes a child under the applicable minimum age has created an account can request review and deletion by emailing privacy@mettaprotocol.app or by submitting a Data Subject Access Request.
4. GDPR-K (EEA/UK)
For EEA/UK users, we rely on GDPR Article 8's higher age of digital consent (16) for offering information-society services directly to children.
5. Reporting
Report a suspected under-age account to trust@mettaprotocol.app.
