This policy governs testimonials, success stories, member spotlights, quoted reviews, and any user-provided endorsement that Metta Protocol Foundation ("we") displays inside MEPR or in marketing materials.
1. Consent
No testimonial is displayed publicly without the author's written consent, captured at the time of submission. Authors may withdraw consent at any time and the testimonial will be removed within a reasonable period.
2. Compensation disclosure
Authors must disclose whether they received any compensation, tokens, airdrop, gifted access, or other consideration in exchange for the testimonial. That disclosure is displayed alongside the testimonial on the site.
3. Editing
We may lightly edit testimonials for length, spelling, or grammar. We do not change the meaning, invent facts, or insert claims the author did not make.
4. Verification
Testimonials that reference specific financial results (gains, APY, returns) are only displayed with a "Not typical" qualifier and only when we can verify the underlying activity on our platform or on-chain.
5. No fake reviews
Fabricated testimonials, AI-generated fake reviews, testimonials attributed to non-existent users, and bought reviews are prohibited and violate the FTC Rule on Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465).
6. Suppression of honest reviews
We do not suppress honest negative reviews. We may remove content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy (spam, harassment, illegal content).
7. Reporting
Report a suspect testimonial to trust@mettaprotocol.app.
